Too popular

Zombies. Menace or Internet Meme? You decide.

I have no solid answer

If forced to choose between "heading for the hills" or "staying put" without any external information I would have to say that it depends on how close you are to self-sustainable wilderness. Though, if I had my way I would first figure the size of the zombie outbreak and its impact. If its a small uprising, why go anywhere? If government forces are already on their way into the city and I was confident that my government had studied up on how to fight zombies enmasse I could be persuaded to stay put. If I'm in the city and its taken long enought that the zombie forces are very high (such that the chance of finding food, equipment, etc were slim) I might consider leaving. If I had a helicopter in such a situation, no doubt I'd be gone.

I think answering that question comes down to three key points. "how many," "how" and "where?"

A topic for discussion

Scenario: You live in a major urban center (Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco, etc.) as many of us do. What's better?

1) Wait it out. Let those saps on the highway die while you hole up until the first wave ends

or

2) Head for the hills, try to get out of there ASAP and take your chances against the mass hysteria.

I've never been sure myself.

No we are not dead.

I'm not at least.

I've talked with others about this in the past but what happens when you're in San Francisco and all your other Zombie-aware friends are in Chicago?

How would you make it across the country without getting killed? I'm thinking about that now.
